   There are no options available for selection like the description claims. How do I make any changes? In the widget area the only thing that is offered by this is “Title”. Is it in need of an update, or am I missing how to access the options? Thanks.

   @Luka: you can restrict to a category ID with the additional query parameters. Please look at the FAQ.

   I did but still I cant figure it out.

   Should I put cat in $query = “…” or in this line: $latest_attachments = $wpdb->get_results( $query, ARRAY_A ); ?

   I know how to chose Cat with query_posts() but here $query is basic php code to read from db..

    Hi Mr. Dubois,

    I’ve 2 questions:
    1. Can i change the size of the thumbs?
    2. How can i make 2 columns of images?
    I’ve looked on cotestudio.fr, but that code doesn’t seem to work

    @Nathan and David: I’m sorry, it seems the shortcode feature was never added. I will strike it out from the documentation page. This is a very basic widget plugin, I might add the shortcode if I ever work on it again to release a new version, but it’s not planned anytime soon.

    Great plugin, really the best one out there for this feature.

    Sorry to be bothersome, but I saw the previous post regarding restricting the posts by category. I didn’t see a clear answer and am wanting to do this. Is it possible? If so, what do I need to edit to filter by post category?

    Hi, i wan’t to show pictures only with a certain tag. I’ve tried to activate the “Select images based on tag” and wrote the name of the tag in “Custom field name for tag-based selection”, but still nothing happens. It keeps on showing all pictures in the media library no matter what. Am I doing something wrong?

    I’m loving this plugin – I use it to power a page on my site that displays the last 100 bits of media that I’ve posted, replacing Flickr/Instagram/etc… for me.

    Is there a way to set up navigation through pages/batches of images? Currently, I can show the last 100 images on a single page, as thumbnails, but people can’t see the previous 100 images etc…

    @Norman: no, the plugin is very simple and does not carry such sophisticated features, sorry.

    no worries – I like the plugin because it’s so lightweight (and thanks for that). If I get some time, I’ll try poking around and seeing if I can come up with some pagination.

    Hello Dubois,
    Thank you for building this plugin YD Recent Image, it is really very helpful. I read above “IceXuick” talking about controlling image size and creating columns to show images but i don’t understand how to do it.
    Can you please tell how to resize the images in the side bar??

    hi, I really like this plugin, but why would it display a particular image more than once? for example one image is being displayed three times!

    Hi, Recent images widget has been added to the home page of my site. The plug in allows to show a picture selected at random from the belonging gallery. I kindly ask if it is possible to establish a complete and direct connection with the gallery.
