YD WordPress.com Stats Integration
This plugin automatically imports WordPress.com stats data on a regular basis and integrates them in the WordPress database directly (as post meta data). It associates stats data with each posts and keeps on updating it over time. It keeps track of past data. This makes it possible to deeply integrate stats data with a blog core functionality. For example, displaying some view stats for each posts, or customizing WP query to retrieve posts while taking into account popularity, or dynamically creating new tags according to popular searches.
Since all available stats data is present in the local WordPress database at all times, the feature developer does not have to worry about building such data from scratch or querying it over and over from the WordPress.com API.

@Stefano
Which version on WordPress and which version of PHP are you using?
le 28 October 2010 à 13:05 h
@Y.Dubois
The version of WordPress is 3.0.1…and the PHP is…4.4.4-8+etch6

@Stefano:
Right now, the YD Widget Framework is only compatible with PHP 5.
You can probably make it compatible with PHP4 easily : replace all “public” variable declarations with “var”.
I have no php4 so I cannot test it. But if you can make it work I’ll be happy to include PHP4 compatibility in future releases of the plugin. Be aware that the next version of WordPress (3.2) will abandon PHP4 however! Maybe it’s time to upgrade ? 😉

Hi there,
I’ve just downloaded your plug in….I’ve just moved my wordpress.com to the .org version and didn’t want to lose the stats that I had built up on wordpress.com.
From reading your description of your plug-in, it sounds like the perfect tool. Or have I misunderstood something, as it doesn’t seem to work. I downloaded WP Stats and then pressed “manually update hourly” and “…daily” and it imported files with no problem. I then went back to stats to see if all the old stats were there and they only show the last two days (I’ve had the new site up for 2 days). I thought it might be because the permalinks were in a different format between the .com and .org, so I changed them and they are identical (except the .com includes wordpress of course). Tried it again, and still no joy…. So my questions are:
– Have I misunderstood the role of this plugin
– If not, do I just need to wait a bit before the changes are registered…?
Look forward to your reply. Many thanks

Should really tell you what the plugin is called in case you have more than one 😉 YD WordPress stats integration.

@Paul
The plugin just imports the stats in a bunch of custom fields in your WP database. It’s up to you (or some other plugin) to display them or use them in some useful way. It does not interact any other way with your existing numbers on WP’s stat servers.

Aha. It all sounded too good to be true 😉 Is there another plug in that will put the stats into the wordpress stats data, so that I have all the old data and new data in the same place?
Thanks for your help.

YD wordpress.com stats ver 0.1.1
php version ?
Hi, I was using YD WordPress.com Stats Integration and really liking it. I just updated to the newest version, and ever since, most of the fields on my dashboard (the ones besides Views Per Day) are grayed out and won’t drop down to open.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

Hello, amazing! I was looking for some like that, as I dont want to use extra stats plugins for pageviews. Thanks
Maybe you can provide some template call examples to use in theme. I’m interested in echo post views…

Hello,
I have moved my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and would like to import the prior stats – does your plugin enable me to do that?
Thank you
le 11 March 2011 à 17:23 h
No this plugin will not import anything.

Hi Yann,
Would you please consider testing this plugin and your auto-purge plugin with WP 3.1.3 or even WP RC 3.2.0. This is a wonderful tool for autoblogging, but the need to run backleveled WP is troublesome at best.

Hi, the YD WordPress.com Stats Integration did not import any of the past stats. WHen I click on “manually update” it tells me I need to install the wordpress.com stat plugin. When I try to install the wordpress.com stat plugin, it gives me a fatal error saying I already have a more actual version with Jetpack.
